FABco is a Houston-based rebar manufacturer that sells, fabricates, and installs rebar and ancillary concrete and construction products. The company has approximately 1,300 employees across five states and manages a complex supply chain spanning international steel sourcing and around 3,000 SKUs.

The Challenge

As FABco grew, its procurement and back-office systems had not scaled at the same pace. The procurement team was managing a complex supply chain, including roughly 200,000 tons of rebar per year and thousands of ancillary construction supply SKUs, and was spending significant time on manual, transactional work rather than supplier management and strategic procurement activity.

The Process

FABco worked with Didero to move its first workflows from process definition through testing and into production in a matter of weeks. The rollout was significantly faster than the months typically expected for traditional software implementations, allowing the team to start seeing automation in production quickly.

The Solution

Didero deployed AI agents across FABco’s procurement, AP, receiving, PO creation, and sourcing workflows: automating AP workflows, three-way match, and exception handling; replacing manual bill of lading entry with agents that enter receiving information into the ERP; supporting PO generation using annual usage and inventory data; and running competitive sourcing events across direct materials.
